Surely too good for a team in the 6th tier, Leicester are 10th in League One, 3 levels above Oxford City. Leicester also won the FA Cup previously, back in 2021. Russell Martin will probably rotate, but even a rotated team has the likes of Harry Souttar, John Lundstram, and Emil Riis with experience. The long-term absentees are GK Jakub Stolarczyk and defender Ben Nelson. Yet there is more depth than what Oxford can produce.

Oxford City has done well to make it here. Scoring 9 and conceding 1 in 3 rounds of qualifying. Good form from Tyrone Marsh and Scott Pollock. GK Maxted has 9 clean sheets so far this season. And scored 15 goals in the last 5 home games. But all opponents in that run were from non-league.

Leicester's professionalism and passing should tire out the home side. It would be good to score one before half time. To take the sting out of the occasion. Cup games are always tricky. But there is a big gap in quality. So we can back the away side here.
