PSG's Champions League campaign has been full of scoring opportunities. They defeated Slovan Bratislava by a score of 6 to 1. Then they traveled to Manchester City and defeated them 4 to 2. Their third game was at home vs. Barcelona. In that game, PSG also came away with a victory; defeating Barcelona 4 to 2. So each of PSG's first three group stage games resulted in at least six total goals being scored. PSG scored a total of 14 while conceding five.

Like PSG, Villareal were also involved in wide open games. They had a good win over Napoli by a score of 3 to 1, but they suffered a tough loss at Liverpool (losing 4 to 3). Gerard Moreno, Juan Foyth, Alassane Diatta and Ilias Akhomach are all missing for Villareal, which will leave their defense thin when facing what is likely one of Europe's top offenses.

PSG also have some injury issues as well. Dembele, Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes are all injured and therefore, will be unable to participate. This will remove two major offensive contributors from PSG's attack while weakening their defense. They still have 3 goals in league phase by Ferran Torres, a consecutive game scorer by Mika Godts, and they score 5 goals in domestic play at Le Havre.

It's points that Villarreal need in order to be in the race, so they can't be defensive. PSG will continue to attack, hence, we see goals coming in at La Ceramica.
